Healthcare Transformation Specialist
Salish Kootenai College
Eva started her college career at Salish Kootenai College and returned to serve students there in 2000 after earning the Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition and Technology and Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Montana. She worked to prepare college-bound students for the challenges of higher education in Upward Bound, Gear Up, and Indigenous Math and Science Institute. For the past nine years, she has dedicated herself to curriculum development, teaching, advising students and assisting the Social Work Department with starting the first accredited BSW Program in a tribal college. Eva joined the HealthCARE Montana team as the Healthcare Transformation Specialist in October and is looking forward to contributing her knowledge and skills to help the project and students succeed.
Eva grew up in Estonia where she was deeply involved in cultural revitalization, independence movement, indigenous rights, theatre, and performing arts. She moved to Montana in 1992. An avid adventurer, organic gardener, and localization and sustainability advocate, she now spends most of her free time in the mountains, digging in the dirt, building things from recycled materials, and volunteering for numerous local organizations.
